GEfIL students participated as panelists in a conversation with His Excellency Mr. Denis Francis, President of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly! (2024/2/14)
On February 14, GEfIL students and alumnus participated as panelists in a conversation with His Excellency Denis Francis, President of the 78th United Nations General Assembly, and researchers and students at the Hongo Campus.
He was invited to Japan from February 11 to 15.
The event began with remarks by His Excellency Mr. Denis Francis on "Peace, Prosperity, Progress and Sustainability: What Role Should the United Nations General Assembly Play?” He discussed with Professor Emeritus Kiichi Fujiwara, former Director of the Global Leadership Program Office, and Associate Professor Naosuke Mukoyama, and has another discussions with the student panelists, including four GEfIL students and alumnus.
For the students, it was a wonderful opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from His Excellency Mr. Denis Francis, who is working globally to solve international problems and initiatives of the United Nations they are usually only able to learn about that through news reports and literature.
