In the evening of Tuesday, May 28th, as a first attempt, the online get-together session between 4 members in charge of DEI* promotion activities at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., including Corporate Vice President Michelle Baron, and 3 GEfIL students was held.

inclusiveness
This online get-together session was organized in response to the request from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., who has been supporting the GLP-GEfIL program since March of this year, with the aim of fostering globally active female leaders. The session specifically sought to provide an opportunity for interaction with female students studying in the Faculties of Science and Engineering.
The session began with self-introductions from 3 GEfIL students, each of them told the content and experience of the GEfIL Abroad Program they participated in this spring, as well as their current majors in their faculties. Following this, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. attendees asked questions about their future goals, reasons for choosing their current majors, and their impressions of the automotive industry in general. The 3 students each responded to these questions as the session progressed.
At the end, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. offered the 3 GEfIL students words of encouragement: “Be brave! You can do anything!” With these empowering words, the one-hour get-together session came to a close.
For the GEfIL students who participated, although it was a short time, the opportunity to speak directly with actual leaders in the global business world is thought to be very informative and greatly encouraging as they consider their future careers.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. for not only supporting the GLP-GEfIL but also for providing such a valuable opportunity this time.
