Activity with Soponsor Companies

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Mr. Kensei Kawaguchi, the Managing Executive Officer of Sumitomo Life Insurance Company, one of the GLP-GEfIL sponsoring companies, gave a lecture in the Independent Research Project PHASE1.

In the lecture, titled "Global business/Global talent," Mr. Kawaguchi gave a very interesting overview of Sumitomo Life Insurance Company and its business both in Japan and overseas, the history and philosophy of the Sumitomo Group, and the actual global business being conducted by the International Business Department, of which Mr. Kawaguchi is in charge, and the leadership required while interspersing group discussions by the students, based on actual examples. His lecture was a very valuable opportunity for the GLP-GEfIL students, who usually do not have the chance to hear from corporate executives on the big picture of actual business.
